I'm obsessed with Robin Hood *cheesy grin* it all started when i was bored at my grandma's house and my mom was like, 'let's go rent a movie from the library!' and no, salado does NOT have a movie store and my grandma doesn't have netflix :) and i found season one of a BBC version of robin hood. and i got it. and watched it. 13 episodes. 45 minutes each. in one day. eheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheeh!!!! :D then i watched the kevin costner version 'robin hood: prince of thieves'. if you have not seen this movie, you MUST!!!! it's AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!! and it has christian slater when he was like 18, which is kinda funny :) my mom's cousin had a robin hood book from like the 70s and i just finished that and it was gooooooooooooooood!! :D

Ducky
Finals! *shriek*
Ah, yes. Finals. The most horrendous time of the year :) Thankfully, however, little Skkandie was able to exempt bio, so that really saved a lot of my brain being fried. However, math killed my brain o.O Epically. But I think I did ok, which could be either good or bad.....Oh! TwilightLover, Sam, and I spent our free-time after WH today doodling on a Bubble Man! Remember him, Invisi? Sam: 'Where did you go, you silly rabbit?' 'I'm a killer, Bella' *Alice clutches her stomach and falls into the rabbit hole dramatically* Hehehehhe :) Finals were actually kinda not too bad this year. Just 2 more to go AND THEN I GET TO GO SEE TRON AND I'M SO EXCITED BECAUSE IT HAS GARRETT HEDLUND AND HE'S AMAZING! ok, I'm good....:)
KayKay and Mrs. Weedy
Hello guyses! I realise that many of you have been claiming that my blog is dead, so I shall post to prove you wrong :) So! As some of you may know, I gave a copy of my book to my mum's friend's friend's daughter, KayKay. KayKay was very prompt and finished my book in like a week o.O Mrs. Weedy, however, literally took 10 weeks (and yes, I counted) to get back to me....*epic sigh* But! She did and we had a nice, long chat about my dear little book a few weeks ago. Now I'm just waiting to get together with KayKay and hear what she has to say...So you are now up to speed on the progress of my book's publication. If you care. AND MY BLOG'S NOT DEAD; DON'T TALK ABOUT HIM LIKE THAT!!!! *sob*

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY = WIN OF EPIC PROPORTIONS
This weekend was freakin' amazing!!!! Jestar, Sam, and TwilightLover came over to my house. Originally, we were going to go to Zilky Park and hang out and go kayaking, but there was a huge music festival there with thousands of peoples, so we couldn't go. :( <-- sad face. But going to my house was fun anyway, me thinks! :D Sam and TwilightLover spent the night and came to church with me, and Jestar came from 12 to 6:30. So here's what we did (in order):
-Picked up Sam and Jestar
-Came home
-Ate lunch and stared at my guinea pigs
-Went outside and blew bubbles
-Swung on the swing whilst Jestar and I blew giant bubbles and popped them
-Jestar discovered the hose and proceeded to thoroughly soak Sam and partially soak me, whilst laughing hysterically
-I recorded Sam getting hosed by Jestar for her English project (she was a reporter, at the scene of Charybdis (a whirlpool in Greek mythology) and was telling us about Odysseus' travels)
-TwilightLover came and was gullible enough to hug Sam, who was dripping wet ;)
-Made more heads for TwilightLover using paper plates and made the plates eat some of my LOTR action figures
-Tried to makes Jestar be all sad and mopey to play the part of Odysseus, but that failed. Epically. He was too giggly ;)
-Had TwilightLover and Sam take the personality test, and discovered that Sam is pro-weed legalisation, Jestar is pro-marijuana, and TwilightLover likes tattoos :))
-Filmed a news cast for Sam's project, discovered that when you tell Jestar he's a cat, he will moo instead of meow, and TwilightLover can't say Greece
-Had hamburgers. TwilightLover threw a hamburger at Jestar, and he also got dubbed the Amish Christmas Cat
-Prank called Snickerz and asked to borrow his gerbil
-Took Jestar home, but whilst on the way, Sam gave him Cullenis Edwardis, and we discovered that TwilightLover can sing opera. We also prank called Jessy and told him we worked at HEB and had found his son and the son's gerbil in the pharmaseudical area, and did this to Kentton, and Jestar's dad, and Moncure's dad, but he got mad, so we stopped :(
-On the way home, we texted with Jestar
-Got home and called Jestar and sang him a personalised 'Mysterious Ticking Noise' song
-Stayed up until 1 with Sam, talking
-Went to church. Sam was amused by Eloquent's flamboyancy and tiny Convertible. All TwilightLover would say was 'That's interesting..' :))
So yeah. Pretty epic stuff, huh? ;)

Friday = A-MAZING, Episode 2
I love Fridays. They're amazing. Best day of the week. By far. So what was amazing about this Friday, you ask? The fact that I got to see Jestar and Snickerz from 4 to 7:30! :D But I'm too lazy to type everything out, so I'll just give you a quick overview: Kayl-E, Snickerz, and I went to pick up Jestar at his house after school, then we came back to the Woods of Brent and played Gravel until Kayl-E had to leave. Then we went to Snickerz's house, jumped on his trampoline (Jestar and Snickerz did some epic flips and even failed a few times ;) ), had pizza, and watched The Incredibles. IT WAS SO AMAZINGLY AWESOME!!!!!! This made Skandie so very happy :D

Friday = A-MAZING
Friday, as you all know, was the high school back-to-school bash. Now Jestar, agan, as you all know, doesn't go to the Woods of Brent anyway, nor is he in high school, but Mr. Lee-Lee was so kind as to let him come to the bash anyway. So my mum said I could stay with the G's until it was time for the bash, and Pressy had a flag-football game that we had to stay and watch. I actually didn't know this; I thought we'd be going to their house. It was kinda stormy at Pressy's game and I was thinking, "Yes! Rain! That would be awesome!" Prissy and I went traipsing around by the gazebo then, getting bored by Pressy's uneventful game, and ran into Snickerz and Kayl-E. Snickerz, upon my request, sent a text to Jestar, telling him to go ahead and come (I had told him to come at 6, when the bash started). Then it started raining :D Snickerz, Kayl-E, Prissy, and I went over to the playground and played gravel (after running around in the woods), which was totally awesome! But after a while, Mr. G came over and stole Prissy (he didn't want her getting wet), so Snickerz, Kayl-E, and I stayed and played for a while. I also ran around with Chris W. for a while....ah, Chris and her CVC pipe...:D Then Jestar came while we were scrambling to save the band stands from the rain and lugging band chairs to safety. Jestar got loaded down with lots of chairs and after Chris made me go talk to Achilles for a while, I didn't see him :O But we finally found him, and Snickerz and Kayl-E made me and him go down to the bleachers to watch the junior high cheerleaders cheer for the junior high flag football team, which was...mildly painful ;) Then Jestar and I decided we wanted to go play gravel on the playground again, but Kayl-E didn't want to, and so therefore, Snickerz didn't want to either. It took lots of persuasion and poking him, but he finally agreed to come! Yay! :D Kayl-E even came too :D We went back to the playground and decided to swing first. This is when Sir Falls-A-Lot reappeared ;) We were swinging and he randomly goes flying off the swing and breaks it! Poor swing! But of course, Jestar exclaims merrily, "That was fun!" and proceeds to try and fix the swing. That doesn't work. And he tries to trick Kayl-E and Chris into sitting on it! *shakes head* ;) A little while later, when we were going back to the swings, he tripped over the wood barrier. Oh, Jestar...After running and skipping through the rain on the way back to the gym, Kayl-E left, and so Snickerz and Jestar and I hung out for a while until he had to go too. Then Jestar and I stood around for about 40 minutes whilst waiting for Sam to get there. When she FINALLY got there, we went back outside for a while and Sam proceeded to call Jestar and I creepy because of all our similarities ( ;) ) and we decided that she's not quite enough like us to be a twin. Keep trying, Sam! Later Sam went on the slip-n-slide and got all bubbly, and then we went inside and creeped on the people singing karaoke. By the way, Khadem singing the Beatles is not a pleasant thing to listen to. My poor ears are scared for life :( Sam and JoJo and I also made Jestar suffer a lot because we took lots and LOTS of pic-a-tures of him. Jestar does not like pic-a-tures, so this made it all the more enjoyable :D I also granted Sam and Jestar certain rights, such as: Jestar could pull her hair and push her, and Sam could take pic-a-tures of him and push him. This made the evening even more fun, watching them push each other. And to make things even better, I had all the rights. And this includes the right to give rights. :D So, in a nutshell, Friday was the BEST DAY OF MY HIGH SCHOOL CAREER THUS FAR

RETREAT!
So today, Sam, TwilightLover, Jazzy, and I head off to the Tehas Camp for our 9th grade retreat. And it's gonna be a-mazing, cause the Tehas Camp has a giant water slide, a zip line, a lazy river, a campfire for all your marshmallow-roasting needs, and lots of other awesome things! We leave at 3 and get back at around 4 tomorrow. (so Jestar, unless I use Sam's phone, I won't be able to talk w/ you :( ) I'll be sure to take lossa pic-a-tures of Sam and I failing at various things and we may post them later for your enjoyment ;)

School
School is miserable for me this year. For one thing, lots of my friends are gone, which makes Skandie very sad. And another thing: WE HAVE TOO MUCH HOMEWORK!!!!!!!!! I mean, seriously, how is all of this going to change my life? Is it going to matter whether or not I know the kingdom, phylum, class, family, order, genus, and species of a spider? NO. All I need to know about that spider is how to kill it. Do I need to know how to find patterns and functions with boxes and how to find the domain, range, independent, and dependent variables in math? NO. Do I need to know that Homer was blind and that the Trojan War took place in 1200 B.C.? NO. Do I need to know Menes united Upper and Lower Egypt and that there was only one female Pharoah in Egypt's history? NO. And I really don't need to be staying up until 10 o'clock EVERY SINGLE NIGHT worrying with this stuff, now do I? People always say, "Live your life like you're gonna die tomorrow", right? Well, how can I if I'm stuck in school all day until I'm over 20 years old?! Oi, I do not understand this crazy world. My plan is to get my books published so that when I get done with high school, I'm done with school forever. I won't even need to go to college, like Christopher Paolini didn't have to...Yes, I like this plan very much. So! To sum it all up - Skandie's not lovin' school this year. AT ALL.

Our Book of Years
Well, during P.E. yesterday, we got our new yearbooks! Yay! :) And they were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO epically better than last year's!!!! Whew! Those were just...painful to look at. And we had a yearbook-signing-part, which awesome, cause I got to see all my little eighth-graders (no offence intended to you eighth graders) and Jestar! Jestar even signed my yearbook :D And Sam found seven mini-Jestars in the yearbook! Hahahahahahahaha, poor Jestar....;) But Sam only has two mini-Sams. And I only have...three or four mini-Skandars. But anyway! Our new Book of Years are awesome :)

Hamilton Pool
Today the G's (Nikki's family) called me at about 8:30 a.m. and Miss Priss said, "Hey, you want to go to Hamilton Springs with us?" and I said, "Sure", so they picked me up and we drove for about twenty minutes out into the country near my house and got stuck behind these gigantic mobile houses that took up the whole road. Bleh. But after about ten minutes, they turned and we were free to drive faster. We got to the parking lot a little bit later and unpacked and began the long, arduous trek down to the springs. Miss Priss and I carried the cooler down the trail, which was kinda hard, cause the steps were made entirely of natural stone and we went through a dry creek bed and down some very steep inclines. But we eventually got to a flatter part of the trail, and to our left was a beautiful pale green river flowing through these trees that looked totally fake cause their roots were white, but they were real. And epically cool. I'll put pics up when I get them from Mrs. G. And this poor nature-preserve guy came along, lugging this massive ice-chest on his shoulders, so we let the poor fellow pass (he had already been up and down the 1/4-mile trail)We walked for another little ways with these huge cliffs towering over us, looking like they could fall off onto our heads at any moment, and then we crossed a little wooden bridge and came to the springs. I don't think I've ever seen a place on Earth so cool and beautiful as this! It was SOSOSOSOSOSOSOSSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOOOOO gorgeous!!!! It was like something from a fantasy world or something (and I intend to put it in my book)! Nikki, Jewelea, Pressy, and I jumped into the water and were not aware of how cold spring-fed waters are. It was FA-REEZING! But it felt really good, cause it was hot outside (duh). There's a ring of rocks behind the water (as shown in pic-a-tures) and a path behind them, and Miss Priss couldn't swim today, so she went and sat up on the rocks and watched us for a while. There's a rock on the far side of the pool that a waterfall falls down onto and you can climb on it and stand under the waterfall and jump from it, so we did that a few times, which was a-mazing! :D We only got to stay for two hours though *epic sad face* but I'm super glad we did, cause now I have great inspiration for a place in my book!!! :)

Tonight
Tonight we went to eat at Bob Evan's, just down the road from Liberty and we all went in our red minivan that we rented. My grandma had some serious trouble getting the automatic sliding door open and closed :) Brother's new roomate Samm came with us; he's from California. And he's VERY quiet. But probably not more so than your Brother, Sam ;) And then it started raining, which made Wade scared, cause she hates rain and thunder. But luckily it was only a light drizzle. We leave tomorrow at one, drive for two hours, and get on a plane at five, and get back around eleven. *sigh* it' gonna be another looooooooooong day ;)
Skandie Would Just Like to Post These For Her Own Enjoyment =)

Greetings From Virgina!!!
Greetings, all my friends, from Virgina!! Yes, I know most of you didn't know I was flying to Virgina, but here I am. :) This morning we woke up at 3 (bleh) and got to the airport at 4:30. There are crickets EVERYWHERE!!! at the airport!! When we went through security, Dad had to give up his pocketknife cause he'd forgotten he had at and was sad cause Brother gave it to him :( Then we waited for an hour and I took some pic-a-tures which I may post later. Then we got on the plane and flew at dawn (which was GORGEOUS outside the windows cause the sky was all pink and the clouds were wispy and fluffy) for two hours until we got to Nashville. Here, I bought a keychain :) Then we flew for an hour and twenty-five minutes to Raleigh, NC. And what was I doing this whole time, you ask? Reading Robinson Crusoe. Again. And taking pictures of clouds outside the plane :) After leaving Raleigh, we rented this awesome red minivan and drove for two hours through all these HUGE, skinny pine trees (like the Lost Pines in Tejas) and that was really pretty. But Wade and I fell asleep cause we were so darned tired ;) Finally, we arrived at the hotel, which is literally across the highway from Liberty and right next to Brother's dorm. We went to Olive Garden and ate salad and breadsticks and then walked around barefoot on Liberty's new football fields. And here I am now, at 9:39, writing about my time in Virginia. Farewell, Texans!! :)

Book
My dad printed out a screen copy of my book today, but...1) the fancy font didn't work ( :( ) and 2) the table of contents, title page, and first page somehow got all smooshed together. And the pages are one-sided. So! I'm gonna be reprinting it soon :D And we have to get it copyrighted before we distribute it to my screeners (sorry screeners!) So...it may be a few days before I get you your screen copy *epic wail*
